The developer, Keoki Trask, was looking for a way to personally give photos of his son to his brother, who he was visiting. Remembering the days of pulling out wallet photos, he saw a need for a way to personally share digital photos in the seemingly impersonal world of digital photography! And so began Fun Photo CD™! Fun Photo CD™ bridges the widening gap between the traditional Greeting Card Industry and the emerging digital photography boom. The question is… what do we do with all those digital photos everyone’s stacking up on all of our computers’ hard drives?

Some people still like to send their photos one-by-one through email, but everyone finds this slow, unorganized and uncreative. An online photo subscription is another method of sharing photos, but again, this is impersonal, requires setting up and maintaining an account just to view photos and usually involves fees of some sort. Recently, a lot of those online photo hosts have begun to shut their doors with a lot of people’s photos lost forever!

So what about using a blank “office store” CD with a hand written explanation of a date or event? This is what we like to call the “plain-wrapper” gift. Once again, we run into the same results... using traditional CD burning software is not easy for most novice computer users, the CD is too big to fit inside of a Greeting Card and overall... it just falls flat on the “wow!” factor.
